Tryptanol Description

Tryptanol is a prescription medication that treats depression and belongs to the class tricyclic antidepressant or non-selective monoamine reuptake inhibitors. The formula includes Amitriptyline hydrochloride and works by adjusting the levels of the natural chemical in the brain. Available in tablet form, Tryptanol tablet comes in 25 mg strength and may be taken with or without food.

Tryptanol Uses & Side Effects

This medication is used to treat mood or mental issues such as depression. It helps elevate mood and give a general feeling of well being. The medicine is also used to relieve anxiety, tension, increase energy levels and to help you sleep better. Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, weakness, drowsiness,  dizziness, dry mouth, headache, blurred vision, change in appetite and weight, constipation, trouble urinating. pain or tingling in the hands or feet, changes in sex drive, excessive sweating, confusion,  orthostatic hypotension and tachycardia.
