Playstation gaming consoles and PlayStation Portable by SONY have been delivering high-quality gaming experiences worldwide for decades, they have launched multiple generations of the Playstation since 1994. 

The PSP is the PlayStation Portable handheld console released in 2005, It brought gaming outside the home and into the real world. SONY has discontinued the development and production of their PSP consoles. The last model released under the PSP banner was the PS Vita in 2012.

Display & Resolution 

The PS Vita is the latest release that has a 5 inches OLED multi touch screen with a resolution of 960 x 544 and 16:9 aspect ratio display. Giving users the ability to experience continuous play wherever and whenever they are. It has a wide body that is light to hold with both hands and comes with a full set of control buttons placed on either side of a large LCD. 

Processor & Battery 

PS Vita has a Quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore CPU, not being able to handle long duration of intensive processing but still offers a satisfying gaming experience.

The 2200mAh battery can offer up to 6 hours of gameplay. The PS Vita is built with 512MB RAM and an additional 128MB VRAM. There are front and rear cameras delivering 60fps at VGA resolution.  

PSP vs PS Vita

The design for PS Vita is slimmer as compared to the PSP, the slight difference makes a huge difference as the grip is improved and so are the comfort levels of holding the console for hours. The placement of the various other buttons and inputs are rearranged look very different than the PSP.
