Samsung Gear Vr Description

3D & Multisensory Experience

The Samsung Gear VR is a lightweight and ergonomically designed mobile-powered virtual reality headset. The unique smartphone integration makes the VR experience seamless with all your favourite mobile media and applications. The immersive video watching and gameplay experience through VR experience is something that has become very popular among young and adult users.

Functionality

The Gear VR can be used as a remote controller to navigate virtual reality smoothly as it has a simple user-friendly interface that can be used as a gamepad. The adjustable controls can be programmed according to personal gameplay style with receptive triggers for multiplayer games.

The remote control with the headset has been designed with an ergonomic grip that feels natural held with one hand. The circular touch-sensitive feature in the remote control at the top is flexible and easy to use. The elongated grip has a familiar form factor with the two-button volume controls. It has the gestural press and swipe select and navigate controls with an Illustration of the Gear VR Controller to trigger the back key and home key.

The Samsung Gear VR set is softer to wear and lighter as compared to the HTC Vive or Oculus Rift making it easier to wear for long gameplay sessions and several hours without feeling tired or stain on the neck. The soft and extra padding helps keep the face relaxed during intensive gameplay. The Gear VR has a secure headband with elasticity for perfect adjustment and the foam cushioning prevents any light leakage from the outside environment ensuring an immersive 3D experience.

Viewing Angles

The headset has an advanced display screen with a wide 101° field of view. The large lens feels cinematic and panoramic with intuitive stability and exact human precision when panning and tracking subjects in view. The built-in gyro sensor and accelerometer ensures that the experience is close to real-life movements.

Compatibility

The Samsung Gear Vr has 1000+ applications with new experiences being added daily to its roster. There are games, creative apps, and experimental, fantasy and true to life experiences of cities and landscapes to explore with in-depth detail and information. There are intensive multiplayer Quickdraw duels that will have you on your feet and jumping around in your living room.

An important feature of the Samsung Gear VR is the port it uses to connect to the smartphone that is removable and switchable compatible with all previous port types including Micro USB or USB Type-C and even in-game controls can be attached.

Product Design

The headset was designed in partnership with Oculus that provided the essential hardware but to actually use the display and audio the user must connect their smartphone to the device. The smartphones compatible with Gear VR are Galaxy Note8, Galaxy Note9, S9, S9+, Note 8, S8, S8+, S7, S7 edge, Note 5, S6 edge+, S6, S6 edge, A8 Star, A8 and A8+.
