Description

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra was released in February 2020, as part of the Samsung's S Series along with the Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20. S20 Ultra is the most expensive of the trio and also the most advanced in terms of gaming, design and overall performance. The much cheaper Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus are the predecessors of the trio. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra price in Pakistan falls in the super expensive range and the phone can be bought online from various trusted sellers.

Design & Display

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with a huge 6.9 inch AMOLED display that makes your videos look stunning and bright. The display has a built-in ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that is super fast and responsive. You will see a tiny cut out on the front for selfie camera that isn't distracting or too noticeable. The screen minutely curves on the edges, nothing too aggressive so there are lesser chances of accidental presses on the screen. One downside to the design is that the Galaxy S20 Ultra is a super hefty phone and too big for normal day to day use. The big form factor is probably due to housing the massive 5000 mAH battery.

Performance

S20 Ultra was launched in Exynos and Snapdragon versions. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, Exynos 990 (7 nm+) gives the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra a blazing fast performance. It also is equipped with a built-in 5G and a huge RAM of 16 GB which is massive for a phone. However, the 120 Hertz display fails to perform at the max resolution but it still is way faster than a phone with a lower refresh rate. When it comes to games and play, the S20 Ultra is a gaming beast with its super-fast processing and glitch-free performance. The display adds to the grandeur of the phone and its performance while watching videos or fast action flicks.

Cameras

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with the most advanced camera setup ever seen on Samsung phones. The rear houses a quad-camera setup with a whopping 108 MP main camera, 48 MP periscope telephoto cam, 12 MP ultrawide and a TOF depth sensor. The shallow depth of field of the main shooter makes the camera stand out amongst the rivals. Though having a 100x zoom is one of the main selling points of this phone, in practicality it is just a marketing gimmick. Beyond a certain range, the zoom distorts the picture and appears to be lacklustre. The nighttime video shooting in 4K @ 30fps results are super amazing and detailed and goes to show how well the camera can perform in any lighting condition. The 8K video functionality comes off as a bit of an overkill though.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra vs Galaxy S20 Plus vs Galaxy S20

Though the main differences lie in the display, battery, sizes and camera resolution, all three phones are powered by the same operating systems. Whether you go for the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra or any of the other two phones in the trio is a matter of choice but S20 Plus will be more than enough for most people. However, if ergonomics matter to you than the S20 is the most compact of the three and also the cheapest.
