RajBari launched their first designs in 2011, they focus on creating exclusive pieces with complex embroideries inspired by both eastern and western visual heritage.
Luxury Embroidery Collection
They have 4 main seasonal collections for summer and winter. Their designs are for formal and semi-formal suiting as they create collections with 3-piece suits. The colour coordination of these designs is inverted to give a second option for the colour. For every 3-piece suit designs, there are two colours giving the client the option to purchase the colour of their choice.
Luxury Lawn Collection
The voil edition and luxury lawn collections have 10 embroidery designs each with up to 40 colours to choose from, each design looks completely different in a separate colour. When looking at the two different colours of the same design together, they look completely different. These unstitched 3-piece suits are easily customizable with the patches of embroidery to applique anywhere on the shirts.
Rajbari Sale & Discount
Their summer wear has a Luxury Festive, Premium Voil Edition and Luxury Lawn collections that go on sale at the end of the season. The design philosophy of Rajbari is to create unique embroideries in multiple colours for a solid base colour, the threadwork compliments the base colour and has contrasting accents of colour that creates movement in the composition that can be worn to multiple occasions.
The luxury collection has floral prints for the silk dupattas that are colour coordinated with the rest of the outfit. The panel shirt designs for formal suits will have running embroideries on the front of the shirt along with a thick embroidery border for the daman area.
Digital Printing Techniques
These designs use print to structure the shirt design. the printing is done to create borders running along the front and back daman, all along the back of the shirt with a plain front with embroidery or simply on the front of the shirt.
This combination of print, embroidery and colour is in all the summer collections, reviving traditional craftsmanship through these designs. The luxury festive has 6 designs each in two colours from purples to yellows, whites to blacks and blues to greens.
Winter Luxury Collection
The winter collection has fabrics from linen to khaddar that are ideal for cold weather. The designs are traditional Kashmiri and Rajasthani embroideries placed on solid base colours that are referential to the rich textile pigments of the south. The designs look like tapestries of threadwork that are usually seen on shawls and Afghan carpets motifs. These designs remind us of warm indoor interiors of old Tajikistani interiors with handmade woven garments with geometric patterns.
