The Finnish multinational tech giant Nokia has produced stellar phones in the past. It launched its presence in the Android world in 2017 and since then has been manufacturing quality android phones. The mid-ranger Nokia 6.2 was released in October 2019 along with its higher-priced sibling Nokia 7.2. The company is known for its sturdy phones and Nokia 6.2 is no different. It was launched in Ice and Ceramic Black colours and is available at mid-range prices in Pakistan.

Display & Design
Nokia 6.2 brings an eye-catching sleek and elegant design. It has mirror-like front and back glass panels that are flat and give a premium look to the phone. As a downside, it doesn't come with an IP rated water resistance so you would want to keep this phone away from water and dust. With its 6.3 inches IPS screen, Nokia 6.2 delivers a sharp and bright display.
The colours are accurate and its blacks are quite deep but not as great as an OLED panel. The phone's notification LED lies within its power button which is aesthetically a good new feature. Nokia 6.2 has a fast and reliable rear-mounted fingerprint reader that quickly wakes up the phone at a slight touch.
Performance, Platform & RAM
With an okayish performance, the Nokia 6.2 has a Snapdragon 636 chipset and 3GB or 4GB of RAM. For the latest midrange phone, this comes off as a surprise that Nokia decided to use an older Snapdragon 636 chipset. Though 6.2 delivers an average performance and there are thankfully no heating or throttling issues, it sits at the bottom of the benchmark charts.
Audio output on the phone is decent at low volume but the sound gets muffled when the volume is turned up as it doesn't have any bass. This produces a below-average audio output. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack that allows for wired earphone connectivity but its loudness levels aren't that great. This may be a problem for high impedance headphones. Nokia 6.2 is a part of the Android One program so you can expect timely security updates and a true Android experience.
The triple camera setup on the rear includes a 16 MP main camera that gives decent daylight photography performance. You can see fine details in the pictures but there is also a lot of noise which is a disappointment. Also, the white balance and colour reproduction are inconsistent with an average dynamic range.
The ultra-wide 8MP camera delivers yellow-tinged and soft picture quality. Portrait photography results are better with this phone but aren't that sharp. Nokia 6.2's camera fails to perform in low light conditions delivering washed-out colours and a lot of noise. The 8MP selfie camera isn't that great either and makes the face a bit blurry.
Storage & Battery
Nokia 6.2 offers a variety of storage options including 32, 64 and 128 GB onboard. 32GB is way too small of a storage option these days so thankfully the phone has expandable storage via a microSD card. Unfortunately, the phone doesn't feature a good battery endurance and is well below average for a mid-ranger these days. Another drawback is that it doesn't support fast charging which gets highly inconvenient if you need a quick charge up.
Connectivity & Sensors
Connectivity options on Nokia 6.2 include WIFI, Bluetooth and NFC. The phone features an accelerometer, compass, fingerprint, gyroscope, hall, light and proximity sensors.
