Display & Design
The 5.45-inch display has a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and a pixel density count of only 295ppi. This is quite low as compared to what the rivalling phones are offering at this price point. However, the aspect ratio of 18:9 and the 5.45-inch display is a reminder of some high-end phablets. There are only two colours to choose from; Black and Blue.
RAM, Performance & Platform
Running on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) EMUI 8 operating system, the smartphone uses a Mediatek MT6739 (28 nm) chipset. Powered by Quad-core, 1.5 GHz, Cortex A53 processor, the Y5 Lite holds a meagre 1 GB of RAM. For a budget-class Android category, this phone has an above-average performance with some stutters and glitches.
The rear sports a single 8 MP camera with an aperture of f/2 along with an LED flash, HDR, panorama, Auto Flash, Face detection and Touch to focus options. You can shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. On the front, there is a 5 MP fixed-focus selfie camera with mediocre results.
Storage & Battery
The phone has a 16 GB internal storage that is expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD. One of the selling points of Y5 Lite is its 3020 mAh battery that gives an above-average performance and will last a long time.
Connectivity & Sensors
Connectivity features include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS etc but lack NFC. Sensors on the phone are accelerometer and proximity.
