Hp Spectre X360 15 Description

Great design form

Convertibles in a new sense, a combination of being a laptop and a tablet the HP Spectre x360 15 2019 is a beautifully designed machine with chamfered edges giving it a cut stone look. Available in 2 colours that both add to the overall look Dark Ash Silver and Poseidon Blue with the modern version of the HP logo in gold chrome on the front.

More than looks

Not just a good looking machine the HP Spectre x360 15 is running on an Intel Core i7-8705G (3.1 GHz base frequency, up to 4.1 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, 8 MB cache, 4 cores) alongside a Radeon RX Vega M GL Graphics (4 GB HBM2 dedicated) to power the crisp 15.6" diagonal 4K IPS BrightView micro-edge WLED-backlit touch screen with Corning Gorilla Glass; in case it gets poked too hard by mistake while you use the stylus. The main core is powered by 16GB of DDR4 RAM, again a high-end spec. To keep all this from overheating there are ample sized vents on both sides one for the intake and one from where the hot air is blown out, HP says it has larger dual fans with dual radiators, an IR thermal sensor and up to three heat pipes! With such a large volume of air it does make a bit of noise when maxing out but generally isn't more than a slight whirr. This 15-inch version doesn't have the Intel 1-watt LPDT panel that uses the battery sparingly and allows the 13-inch version to have great battery time. Still, the HP Spectre x360 15 has a top-grade battery for something this amped up with power. Clocking 13.5 hours on a video playback test at a relatively high brightness setting.

Use of the corners and ports

HP tucked the power button on the left rear corner and a USB-C port on the right rear corner, both these corners are 'diamond' like cuts so it is quite a convenient use of space. Especially since you won't turn off the laptop while picking it up, as everyone has so often done. Aside from this, there is another Thunderbolt 3 (Data Transfer up to 40 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DP1.2, HP Sleep and Charge) and 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (HP Sleep and Charge) plus 1 HDMI along with 1 headphone/microphone combo port as well. The slightly thicker body has allowed for the USB 3.1 to be a part of this which is important as a lot of technology in use today still uses those ports for connectivity and an adapter isn't always handy.

Digital privacy made analog and speakers

The webcam has a physical security switch that turns it off by cutting off the power, after which even onboard softwares think the laptop doesn't have a webcam. This is a great feature today as there are many issues with webcams being hacked and people being spied on. As for speakers, there are built-in quad speakers from the luxury speaker brand Bang & Olufsen that sound great for speakers of that size and let you enjoy the sound along with your work or movies.

Overall the HP Spectre x36015 2019 combines great design with power to essentially be a tool that anyone can use for their work, starting at simple Word Docs and up to 3D rendering. Do keep in mind the market has different versions regarding the specs depending on what market the laptop was produced for.
