Polaroid photography was practised decades ago using a film camera that instantly printed a photograph using a self-developing film. This special film would use a chemical reaction to create an impression on the film directly shortly after taking clicking the picture. The Fujifilm Instax Mini series is a consumer-friendly instant camera that can be used by children and adults alike.

Retro & Vintage Photography 

The entire series of the Instax is simple and easy to use as these small-sized photographs make creat gifts and memorabilia. There is a button next to the lens that turns on the camera, to turn the camera off simply push the lens back in place. The brightness of the pictures can be manually adjusted by turning the dial around the lens. The shutter button is placed on the right-hand side that triggers the picture taking action. As soon as you click the photograph the mechanism inside will fire the chemical imprint and in a few seconds, the photo film will pop out of the top of the camera.

There are a few shooting modes that include indoors, cloudy, sunny/slightly cloudy, and sunny and bright for taking a variety of photographs. The high-key mode helps to take photographs in low light settings. There is a preinstalled light sensor that will suggest an auto setting based on the scene. 

Features & Components

The user-friendly setup has a preinstalled aperture setting that is indicated with a flashing LED light ensuring no film paper is wasted and the user can also adjust the settings manually for the perfect capture. This particular model can focus 0.6 meters, has a tiny mirror next to the lens that helps to frame the selfie acting as a tiny viewfinder on the front, these features were not present before this iteration of the Instax Mini.

Another unique feature of the Mini 9 is the extra lense that is for macro close-ups that allow users to take photos as close of 35 centimetres from the object or subject. There is also an added shooting mode called high-key mode that added brightness and a fade filter to low light setting photographs. 

Colours

The mini 9 can be bought in the colours of Cobalt Blue, Ice Blue, Flamingo Pink, Lime Green and Smoky White that are unique and stylish. They also come with their own perfectly matching camera carry bag with a shoulder strap making it easy to carry around your neck or across your shoulder.   

Mini 11

When compared to the Mini 11, both cameras have essentially the same features more or less. But the updated shutter is now pre-programmed and electronic with capabilities of 1/2 to 1/250 sec but still unable to perform well in low light settings. The MIni 11 is available in colours including Blush, Pink Ice, White, Sky Blue, Lilac, Purple and Charcoal Gray.
