Released in 2014, the Dell Latitude E7440 Touch has a display wich has touch capabilities making for an added feature that can help one work. It can pick up taps and swipes, which are useful for Windows 8 onward. This machine has a 14-inch display, making for ample viewing space. The IPS display has a resolution of 1,920x1,080p, making it a Full HD display. 

The body is made from carbon fibre and adheres to military specs. This ruggedness also applies to the keyboard which is spillage resistant, letting one use this machine in some rain even. Also featuring lights in the keyboard meaning it is easier to use in lowlight environments. The ports include three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, mini-DisplayPort, Ethernet, an SD card reader and a headphone/microphone combo jack. One can also find versions which have the SmarCard for extra security. The Dell Latitude E7440 has WiFi and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity as well.


Built with a Core i5 processor, this machine is relatively snappy with a clock speed of 2.9 GHz. It has 4GB of DDR3 RAM and a 256GB SSD. For graphics, there is the Intel HD4400 chip. These specs are decent and one could get some serious work done, though if it was a heavier game or large scale video editing it would lag.
