The Bamboo Toothbrush is something that has been part of our local heritage for thousands of years as a medicinal treatment for teeth and gums in the form of Miswak or Salvadora persica tree (known as arak in Arabic). But the Bamboo Toothbrush is not made from Miswak infact the brush is only bamboo that is sturdy, hypoallergenic and easily dries after brushing your teeth.
The billions of plastic toothbrushes thrown away are hurting the environment and causing irreparable damage to our oceanic life as waste is dumped into these water bodies all over the world. Pakistan has acres of trash landfills everywhere accumulating plastic waste creating rot and disease. It takes a plastic toothbrush 1000 years to decompose.
