A brand known for its simplicity and easy to use interfaces, Apple has any products that are a hit in the market. Their AirPods are another successful line by them.
AirPods 2nd Gen
Released in October 2019, there were two options, the first are the AirPods 2nd Gen and the second the AirPods Pro. The AirPods 2 are just called AirPods on the Apple website, as they consider each new iteration to be just the latest AirPods instead of a whole new model.
These come with the standard charging case, the Qi-certified for wireless charging case has to be bought separately. The controls are touch-based; one touch to play audio or answer a phone call and two touches to skip a song and so on. These ones do not come with noise cancellation.
The size is standard and fits well enough, though some people report it not being ideal for their ear size.
The battery time is at 5 hours, with 19 more hours if the charging case is carried along. Just 5 minutes inside the case will give a Pod another hour of usage, which is quite impressive. Apple has integrated its H1 chip into these which allows voice control functions as well.
The sound quality is good on these, with ample clarity and bass. The AirPods 2 are among the best available options in the truly wireless earbud arena. The competitors include Sony WF-1000XM3, Samsung Gear IconX, Philips SHB4385 True Wireless Bass+, JBL Reflect Flow, Bose SoundSport Free, Jaybird Vista, Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless and Libratone Track Air+.
The AirPods 2 are set at a high price point given their build quality and features.
